Origin Story

Present

Jindy is the founder of Jindy Media and is a freelance writer and content manager. She is currently pursuing a B.A. in Journalism and is educated with an A.S. degree in Multimedia Communications & Presentations and an A.A. degree in Sociology.

Past

Jindy started blogging anonymously in 2003 but took a break when anonymity became obsolete. Having won a creative writing award as a young adult, her love of writing wouldn't allow her to pause. She rekindled the flame and created the award winning blog Flowers Croon (named after Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room) in 2012. In 2018 she re-branded to Wonderland Diaries, focusing on international travel and local treasures. In 2020 she launched Jindy.Land, a creative outlet to share her passion for storytelling.

career

Jindy began her graphic design career while still in college. Soon she was working in administration, marketing, events and trade show management. Later this evolved into a new career in publishing, editing and freelance writing. 

For years she published a popular anonymous blog and was a ghost writer, while simultaneously being a single mom and furthering her professional career. She has held executive positions in exciting industries (education, action sports, hospitality, publishing, government) while nurturing her love of writing. She has worked with high-profile clients and has planned large-scale private and public events. Always exceeding expectations, her strong work ethic has given her the reputation of being the gal to call when you need a job done right.

Family

Jindy lives with the Boricua side of her family and her daughter in beautiful northern California.

PASSIONS

Jindy is a music & film lover, art & pin collector, Disneyland regular, sports fan, runner, Pilates addict, plant based foodie, thrift shopper, pop culture nerd and runDisney expert. She’s also a baseball stadium & wine connoisseuse, saxophone player, tech geek and wannabe professional swing dancer.

She enjoys dirt biking, tiki bars, theme parks, travel and photography. She’s passionate about storytelling, activism, culture, education, imagination, art & giving back. She’s inspired by everyday super heroes. 

When she’s not at home she’s at a library, a Disney park, an airport, a gym, a theater, a beach, a concert or a tattoo parlor.
